Born in Pomorie, Bulgaria, since 5 years old Alexander met the love of his life in the face of the worldwide cinema. His father use to take him almost every weekend in the cinema theatre for the next 18 years. He graduated “Film Studies” in NATFA, Bulgaria with a thesis about the Blaxploitation cinema and its worldwide impact in the film industry. Although his Bachelor was mostly theoretical, on the second year of his studies he already had a short independent feature film under the title “Diagnosis” which received a world recognition and a special prize for a debut short movie from the Red Cross Film Fest in 2015. He also has a an extensive 5 years of experience in the film industry working as a production manager and assistant director for short and feature films and directed a couple of commercials. That improved his experience on set and he made his comeback as a writer of 2019’s short “Double Exposure” and a writer and a director of his first short documentary under the title “Nobody knows me”. That same year Alexander received a special prize for his script “Guest” from the Bulgarian Film Society. For him there’s no such thing as a bad Idea and in terms of storytelling everything is in a matter of dedication and hard work towards achieving the needed goals. He is very experienced in both – working on low budget productions and big budget ones.
